We had our 1929 home sided by Siding By Ben a few weeks ago.  Our neighbors, family, and also us feels it makes all the difference in its appearance. We recently had our 1925 home entirely sided with new vinyl siding. We received three estimates on the job, we chose Ben. The old aluminum siding was in terrible shape. We wanted with keep with the Craftsman character of the home. At Ben’s suggestion, we went with 4” Dutch Lap siding in Wicker (beige) with white aluminum flashing and trim. For a nice touch, Ben matched the color of the gutters with the siding.

After recently having a terrible experience with another contractor, we were quite nervous over the end result. We can be a contractor’s worst nightmare as we tend to be perfectionists. Because our careers have us both involved in “Total Quality” and customer satisfaction we consequently, expect others to have the same focus. Siding by Ben did just that! The work was done in a very professional and workmanship-like manner and the craftsmen that did the siding showed up regularly and promptly and worked until they got the job done. The crew also did a great job of cleanup. They were always pleasant and seemed to take much pride in their work.

Several neighbors have commented on our home and how wonderful it looks. We just smile and say "Thanks". We were happy to know that we picked the right contractor. Since then we have and will continue to recommend Siding by Ben.

To Whom It May Concern:

We are writing this letter to formally recognize the outstanding efforts of Ben Capriato.  We met Ben as a result of an expansion of our kitchen.  Due to a problem in matching siding color (our previous siding, aluminum, was over 20 years old and no longer manufactured) we were forced to undertake residing the entire house.  Rather than use dent-prone aluminum siding we decided to switch to vinyl siding.  What we did not anticipate is that vinyl siding is prone to movement (expansion/contraction) based on outside temperature.  As a result all types of vinyl siding requires a "J channel" for the siding pieces to die into.   This issue presented a terrible problem for us.  Our home has beautiful cornice detail which would have been significantly degraded with the use of the manufacturer supplied "J channel".  To this add the fact that our house dates from 1870 with lots of quirky corners and multiple elevations.  It quickly became apparent that residing the house was going to involve a lot more ingenuity than anyone envisioned. 

We are both very pleased to say Ben was more than up to the challenge and was a delight to work with.  He was instrumental in resolving many complex design issues and was even willing to rework areas if a better solution surfaced down the road.  As for the fit and finish, it is simply superb!

I would also like to highlight Ben's work ethic.  Many nights Ben was at our home until dusk and worked most Saturdays while our project was underway.  The entire time he was by himself.  This is a man who shows up when he says he will be there and does what he says he will do or what you ask of him.   In my business my word is my bond.  It is extremely refreshing to find an individual in the building trades who lives by the same credo.

One final comment: Ben has a very pleasant personality.  This makes him very approachable which was very valuable to us when any fine tuning was needed on the siding.  He always greeted our requests/concerns with a very willing attitude to accommodate us.  This again was an invaluable service to us.

Needless to say, both my wife and I would HIGHLY recommend Ben Capriato should you have the need for his services.  His craftsmanship, ability to think "out of the box" to solve the problems, and "can do" attitude have made him a pleasure to know and work with.

My name is Rachel Socha and we had windows and doors installed by Ben.  We love our windows and patio door so much, they are GORGEOUS!  We used to have a really old picture window and beat up patio door, and it let so much air through and froze up in the winter. Not anymore, our new windows have warmed up our rooms and let so much more light in.  Ben arrived at our house the day of install to make sure everything was in order, greeted us and assured us everything was  going in on time... and everything was! The team of installers who came to install them was great.  They were really kind to my kids, their clean up job was excellent. The even vacuumed my carpet and wiped down my floors when they were working! Now we are even doing more of our windows through Ben and highly recommend him to anyone in our friends and family network.

Debbie and I would like to thank you for the great job you did installing our new energy efficient windows and vinyl siding.  At first we were somewhat apprehensive because your quote was significantly lower than the other estimates we had gotten.  But you came so highly recommended by our friend Kenny that we decided to take a chance.  Well we learned that high quality work does not necessarily mean high prices.  We couldn't be more pleased with both the process and the results.  You and your workmen were extremely professional and courteous.  You did everything that you said you would, and you did it when you said you would.  After the job was completed, everything was cleaned up and hauled away.

The new windows have made a world of difference when it comes to heating our home.  No more foggy, drafty, rattling windows.  The vinyl siding looks fantastic! This letter is a little thank you note to say not only what a clean, nice looking vinyl siding job was done at my house but also how professionally everything was handled.

All the installation of siding on the gables and dormers were done with care to make sure that they are square with the roof lines and the frame of the house.  Caps around the windows and door casings showed concern for the details, and the rakes and gutter boards were done functionally and properly.

Even the materials were removed from the yard in a timely manner.
